For one week: Don’t eat out in restaurants You have no idea how much fat and calories are in those sauces, even some of the healthier choices will still be large portions and full of salt. Cesar salad is huge calories because of the dressing for example. Plus who can really resist that fresh bread and butter they serve with the meals. Take your lunch to work
Make your own lunch with lots of fresh veggies, and maybe some hummus for dip, and a sandwich made from whole grain bread. Skip the butter and mayo and go for mustard (zero calories), skip the cookies and take an apple, drink lots of water.
Skip all Soft Drinks
Water only, even the diet ones tend to make you feel hungry. So, you could put a few lemon slices in your water, which will also help to cut bloat and keep you hydrated.
Skip Desserts
At least for this week. Eat an apple or fresh fruit for dessert. Sugar is full of empty calories, so for this week, skip the cookies, chocolate and other desserts.
Get rid of cream in your coffee
Use nothing and drink it black or maybe some skim milk if you just can’t stand it black but with no sugar.
No Alcohol period. Full of empty calories, you can live a week without it!
If you follow most of the above rules, and make all your own healthy meals at home, including breakfast and a bag lunch for work and make dinner, then you can control portions and any additives. Do not use any packaged foods or sauces.
By the end of the week, you should be feeling less bloated and hopefully the scale has inched downwards a bit.
