How to Lose Weight and Keep It Off
If you are wondering how to lose weight and keep it off, then the answer is:
Lose it Gradually, by Creating New Habits! - Make It Real for You and it Will Work!
I know this sounds boring, but it really does work. Do not put the pressure on yourself to get rid of “X” number of pounds by a certain date. My sister is a prime example of how dangerous this can be.
Instead of making a few changes to her life and diet, she tries extremes, such as cutting out bread and fats. Loses weight very quickly, but then can’t keep this type of diet up, and then has cravings so bad one day she literally ate an entire loaf of bread from hunger and fatigue. Then the weight went back on and the cycle started again.

Rather than do these extremes, you need to change a few things so that you are losing weight at a slow pace, such as 2 pounds a month or maybe 5 at the most. Unless your doctor has said you have to lose this weight fast, any healthy weight loss will help your body. Even a 5 pound loss, can lower blood pressure. (it did with me!).
I chose to lose approximately 2 pounds per month. Although once I started seeing results it egged me on a bit to try a few more exercises and changes to my lifestyle.
To lose 2 pounds a month does not require huge changes. You don’t even have to count a single calorie if you don’t want. All you have to do is look at the foods you are eating and make the serving slightly smaller or take off the extra slice of cheese, or just a slight alteration.
Your body won’t notice, but only make one change a week. A good place to start could be to use 2% milk in your coffee instead of cream. If you have 3 coffees in a day, that is a big calorie and fat saving. You could just leave it at that for a week. Switch your butter on that sandwich to light mayo, which has less fat and calories. Or switch out one full sugar soft drink for a glass of water.
Which ever habit you feel you could change and live with, do this change for a week. Once you are in that habit and are comfortable with it, and like the taste, then you can try changing something else.
If you do this gradually, you will start to notice your pants feeling a little better at that waistline. I found the best way was to make a

How to lose weight and keep it off? Simple, stick to your new habits. You will have done them so gradually, that it is now a part of your life. A friend of mine was not about to give up her chocolate bar at afternoon coffee break. So, she looked at the labels of most chocolate bars online and found that a Kit Kat was a good choice and switched to it and saved 100 calories. So, she didn’t give up a thing, just switched it out. Now she buys them in bulk. It is her one treat that she did not want to give up, so she tried to find one with the least amount of calories. She would rather change out other things in her day, but she looked forward to that treat.
If you look forward to chocolate, and are told you have to have carrot sticks instead, then you are not going to stick to this!
Make it real for you, and it will work. Steady and slow and the weight will come off. So, now you know how to lose weight and keep it off without diet pills, extreme diets or other fads.
