A friend of mine loves her daily chocolate bar..  and also needed to lose weight.  She tried the typical diet approach of cutting out all her favorite treats, and lost a few pounds, but could not keep it up, and gained the weight back.

So, she tried this simple approach of just trading the treat for a slightly lower calorie one.. not DIET TREATS, just a different brand.  She started reading labels and realized the difference between name brand chocolate bars.

Eg:  Snickers bar = 323 calories and 19.1g fat

Mars Bar = 294 calories and 11.4g fat.

just changing to a mars bar from a snickers bar can save you 29 calories, and she took it a step further, and decided to cut her bars in half and have a half of one rather than none, now you are down to 147 calories and not feeling deprived.
